In immaculate, near pristine, unused condition, this beautiful vintage powder compact by La Mode is a delight! - In the form of a mother of pearl encased book, brushed gold tone edging, it is truly - gorgeous! - all clasps and hinges are perfect, opening to reveal a nice clear bevelled mirror, the original duo puff for powder and rouge, the rouge is intact and the small inner opening lid opens to reveal a nice clean powder compartment - to the side is a lipstick that sits within the book spine - La Mode were producing powder compacts as early as 1839, this is a later c, 1940 piece - measuring c. 2" x 2.5" inch - all in all a wonderful vintage piece in a condition that will not disappoint and will make a fine addition to any discerning collection.
