Fabulous and in superb antique condition, this beautiful, high quality leather jewellery box is a delight!. In a dark reddish brown leather exterior, it is fully fitted to the interior and is lined in a green silk and velvet material. Gilt tooling for Finnigan Manchester (later of Finnigan's Ltd, Bond Street London). This is a wonderful old piece, dating late 1800's that has been well cared for and incredibly retains its original key. The top has a fitted handle and this was probably used for travelling in Victorian times. It is substantial and a good quality weight - measuring c. 9" x 6" x 4" deep - very nice - oozing quality and showing appropriate signs of wear commensurate with age, this little beauty will certainly not disappoint the most discerning of antique buyers.
