A large Georgian period Tavern Clock. A 28" dial with unusual walnut veneer segments. A 5 minute outer track to the dial and gilt Roman numerals and a gilt convex dial edging. Decorative brass hands. An elegant walnut case of teardrop design with a shaped base. A rarer 8-day duration twin weight driven mechanism striking the hours on a bell. Circa 1790.
