Description

A Victorian twin fusee Lantern clock. A good quality example of 18th century design with heraldic front fretwork, silvered chapter ring and engraved dial centre. A cast top bell and standing on tapered brass feet. Side and rear opening doors. Blued steel hands and signed to the lower chapter ring 'Tho. Whit. An 8-day duration double fusee mechanism with extending winding arbours and a pendulum transportation lock. Hourly bell striking. Circa 1885.
