Oil on canvas by the British artist Harding signed and dated 1971 of Captain Scott's ship RRS Discovery moored on the Thames off Northumberland Avenue, Victoria Embankment, London with Waterloo bridge in the background prior to moving to her final birth in Dundee.Harding worked mainly in and around London he also painted scenes of the river atwindsor. This particular work shows the artists skill with his use of colour to create such an atmospheric painting
