Oil on canvas by the British artist T Willoughby signed and dated 1937.The painting is entitled "Lay to for Pilot" verso.I can find no biographical information on this artist only one other marine painting.This is a fine quality work by a very competent artist, the colour and shape of the waves add to the atmosphere of this pleasing marine painting.
