Oil on canvas by one of the country's leading landscape painters Mervyn Goode (signed lower right) .Born in 1948 he studied Landscape Architecture at the Gloucester Collage of Art, but at the age of Twenty one decided to pursue his vocation as a painter.Mervyn Goode has held many one man exhibitions in London the Shires and the U.S.A, he lives with his wife Stephanie in Hampshire.This painting is a view towards the South Downs on the Hampshire Sussex border between Petersfield and Midhurst looking South South West from the lane between Rogate and Hillbrow.
