Oil on canvas by the British artist William R Stone act 1865 --1877.Stone painted in many parts of the country much of his work being completed in Worcestershire and Herefordshire.This picture is most likely cottages near Amestry Herefordshire, this part of the county appears to have been a favorite with Stone.He was born in 1842 and died in 1913.His work is collected in the UK and Europe.DateLate 19th Century :
