Description

"A country Lane" is the title of this lovely Watercolour by the British artist Henry Charles Fox signed and dated 1909.
Fox was a landscape painter of mainly rural subjects who was born in London in 1860. He lived in London and Kingston-upon-Thames but travelled widely across the south of England,Surrey, Berkshire, Sussex and Kent.He specialised in country scenes showing the "Everyday story of Country folk".Fox exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1879 to 1902, also at The Royal Institute of Painters in Oils.The Royal Hibernian Academy, The Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Institute. His Watercolours are highly collectable, examples of his work can be found in Reading Art Gallery.
