Description
"Artists in the spring" Oil on board by Llewellyn Petley Jones 1908-1986.Signed and Dated 68. Born in Edmonton Canada in 1908.He was one of the original members of the Alberta Art Society.In 1939 he met and married Nancy Corbet in London. In 1955 he was commissioned by the Alberta Goverment to paint Portraits of Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh for the Alberta Legislative Building. Petley Jones exhibited in numerous solo and group Exhibitions in Canada, Europe and Great Britain.DateSigned and dated 68.
