Description

This attractive pair of papier mache Regency decanter coasters dates circa 1820. Pairs are few and far between and this is a lovely example. Each coaster decorated with gilt grapes and vine leaves on a black laquer ground. One ever so slightly smaller than the other, allowing for the coasters to be stacked.

Condition:

Gilt decorations a little faint at places, which is reflected in the price.
