Description

This small and elegant Victorian silver inkstand is dated London 1892 and bears the marks of the illustrious Henry Wilkinson & Co. The navette-shaped base with shell decorations and a fine gadroon border The centre fitted with cut glass inkwell mounted with an elaborate hinged lid. The hinged lid fully hallmarked. Its small size is unusual and makes it quite desirable.

Raised on four bracket feet.

London Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "Q" for 1839.
Wilkinson "crossed keys" trademark.
