Description

A fine set of six silver dessert spoons in the sought after Onslow pattern. These spoons are of good gauge and have fully cast terminals with vacant cartouches. They bear the distinction of being by the great name of Mappin & Webb and have deep oval bowls.
Due to the high scrap price over the last few years, so much antique silver has been destroyed and flatware is probably the greatest victim. Heavy quality examples have been particularly badly hit and surviving pieces are now quite scarce. A superb set with a practical use.
