Stunning & Rare Diminutive Alhambra Table c1910 or earlier

Beautiful bijou Andalus Islamic table 100+ years old

This is an elegant, exquisite, highly detailed and intricately inlaid small table which would be the centre piece to any room!
We have been collecting antiques for thirty years and this is the first one of this size that we have come across!

It is simply stunning with absolutely amazing detail on every angle! You have to zoom in to really appreciate the wonderful intricate inlay, patterns and design on this table!

This is not the usual Egyptian mashrabiyya type of table which we have five in stock and it is not the usual Ottoman mother of pearl inlaid table of which we have seen hundreds over the years.

Please do not confuse this superb piece with modern mass produced Indian tables that have no calligraphy on them – this one is 100+ years old, has a beautiful repeated benedictory phrase and was made in Al Andalus and probably retailed at Libertys of London at the time when there was a revived interest in Moorish design.

Just look at the top that has been inlaid with alternating ebony on white and then white on ebony! Black inscription on white backgound and then white inscription on black backgound! The inscription is the famous:

"wa La Ghalib il Allah" – "There is no Victory except from Allah".

The centre of the top is lined with delicate and soft, plush maroon velvet.

This inscription is found all the way around the Alhambra Palace in Spain and also on the coat of arms/flag of the Nasrid Dynasty c1300 – c1500.

This table has beautiful Moorish arches around the sides!

There is even a lower tier shelf but look at how it has been designed to look like what is commonly known as the "Star of David" but is actually an ancient symbol used in many Middle East countries throughout the centuries.

Please note that there are some minor blemishes and a few small sections of inlay are missing but this does not detract from the overall wonderful condition and rarity of this 100 year old delightful work of art.

We have seen similar rare inlaid tables sell for over £1,500 (details on request) but none of them have been this beautiful bijou/diminutive miniature size as this one measures:
