Hutton-Clarke Antiques is pleased to offer this elegant Louis XVI style gilt console, surmounted by a beautifully figured cream marble top with subtle natural veining.

The frieze is richly carved with classical swags, rosettes and bead-and-reel mouldings, centred by a single panel, all executed with crisp detail and retaining a warm, softly aged gilt finish. The table is raised on four slender, fluted tapering legs with carved collars and turned feet, giving the piece a refined and balanced silhouette.

Inspired by 18th century French neoclassical design and likely dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, this is a versatile and decorative piece — ideal as a console table, writing desk, or dressing table.
