Beautifully crafted from solid chestnut, it shows a warm, mellow patina and attractive grain throughout. The front is arranged with simple provincial paneling above a shaped apron, all raised on short tapered feet—classic rural French styling.

Its wonderfully low and elongated proportions make it especially versatile: ideal as a bench or hallway seat, or perfectly suited as a rustic TV stand, with generous internal storage. A practical and decorative 19th-century piece with great character and authenticity.
