Description

A large, Victorian, Sterling silver vesta case.
The vesta case is in good condition, with minor marks as would be expected, there is an ever so shallow bruise just under the monogram, but this is very shallow and only visible in certain light, but nothing too drastic and just mentioned for accuracy.
It is hallmarked for Joseph Whitten, Birmingham, 1898, and measures approx 4.7 cm (just under 2 ins)high, by 4 cm (1.7 ins) wide.
It opens and closes well, with a good hinge. It still closes well with a snap, although the spring is probably weaker than it would have originally been..
