Description

A fine Victorian, walnut veneered vanity box with padded silk fitted interior.
The box is in good condition, with only one minor loss to top (shown in picture)and normal marks as would be expected. The padded silk interior is in excellent condition with minimal wear for the age of the box.
It measures approx 28 cm (11 inches) wide, by 20 cm (8 inches) deep by 14 cm (5.5 inches) high.
It comes with a selection of silver lidded, cut glass vanity jars, and a silver collared scent bottle, probably not original to the box, but compliment its appearance.
The jars are hallmarked for Birmingham 1919, 1919, 1921, 1921 and the silver collared scent bottle is marked for London 1920. There are a few minor dings to the silver lids, the glass is in good condition with just a few nibbles to the stopper on the scent bottle. The box doesn'h have a key, but is fitted with a lock.
