A beautiful leather blackjack.English origin, circa 1840-60.
These drinking vessels would formed by shaping wet leather, stitching this together and lining the internal surface either with pitch as in this example or metal/tin. They are a very English tradition.
Condition - Good as per images. Some surface wear commensurate with age.Dimensions : Height 5 1/2" approx
