Lovely Longcase by Hayward Ashford (Kent)

Photos

Description

I love this clock. It's quite modest in origin but has aged beautifully and is so genuine. The original bold cresting immediately identifies it as a Kent clock.

Designed to be wound daily with hourly striking on a bell - but if you don't want it striking, it runs a full week between winds. It has the prettiest face and a full set of very detailed hands.

These are just the first photos, and I can supply other 'snaps' if you are interested.

85" tall with the gilded finials (removable). Elegant case which passes for mahogany but I believe could actually be cherry wood.

Guaranteed to be a genuine and unmarried clock. We've sold and worked on a couple of clocks from this very area, and I recognise 'the hand' in both the case and movement.

The price quoted is the basic 'from' price. The clock works beautifully. The movement is clean and without obvious wear. The case is in lovely condition with great colour. The movement could be freshly serviced with a warranty at extra cost. Similarly, the dial could be cleaned but I'd leave it JUST as it it, and enjoy the clock at it's bargain price.
