19th Century Tea Canister

Description
Always a joy to find and present a decorative tea canister, a particular favourite of ours.Originally a shop storage container these tins make great display pieces. A dark green ground has been highlighted with a depiction of an Oriental gentleman with a gilt panel showing the number 18.
Dating from the late 19th century and having had a working life this canister does show signs of use. Losses to the paint and dents to the metal do not detract from such a decorative piece.
