A rare set of Victorian Ordnance Survey maps stored within imitation book boxes.Each box holds 4 maps and is styled as a leather bound book with gilt lettering and marbled paper. The 8 maps show the southern counties of England......Middlesex, Hampshire, Essex, Kent etc.
All the maps were printed during the 1860s. Paper panels mounted upon linen backing they have survived with their colours remarkably fresh.
