Description

A pretty, pine side table/writing table dating from the early 19th century.

As with so much pine furniture from this period the fashion has been to completely strip the original paint and wax the wood. This has happened to this table at some point in its life, however, we have re-finished the piece in accordance with how we think it would look naturally after nearly two hundred years.

Using original furniture of the period as a guide and inspiration, traditional colours and detailing have been applied before dry scrapping and waxing to produce what we feel is a great time worn appearance.

Presented in a pleasing, worn paint finish of multiple colours and layers. Slight damage to one of the turned mahogany knobs.
