Description
Between the backboard and the mirror plate we could see a piece of newspaper when this mirror came to us. Curiosity got the better of us, we just had to carefully remove the backboard to see what was underneath........a sheet of newspaper dated Aug 1888, and so it is with some great confidence we can date this mirrror!In good, decorative condition. An old repair to the bottom right hand fret work and a missing ear to the bottom left hand area. Minor staining to original mirror plate.
