Description

Due to amalgamations the Great Southern Railway only ran between 1925-45 in Eire.

This metal panel showing the Coat of Arms has been salvaged from the side of a carriage. The highly detailed crest incorporates the arms of Dublin, Cork, Kilkenny and Limerick and appeared on the side of all coaching stock. Carriages were of a deep claret colour as can be seen on this piece.

Evidence of it previous working life, some dinks and marks to the paint finish. To the top edge two holes have been drilled to provide hanging. A fantastic piece of railwayania ready to display as is or could be easily mounted within a frame.
