Description

A Victorian wall cabinet in totally original condition with the most glorious naturally aged finish we have seen in a long time.

Constructed with pitch pine and coated with a dark polish that with the passage of time has shrunk and cracked revealing a glimpse of the wood underneath. This has left an amazing surface finish, knarled, textured almost crocodile skin in apperance.

The doors retain their original, rippled glass.

This cabinet may have been inset into a wall recess, the overlapping frame to the front suggests this. For its new home, wall mounting would be a straightforward fixing or it would be perfectly happy to sit atop another piece of furniture as we have displayed.
