Description
A fantastic pair of pole screens dated circa 1830/40.Triform base in ebony supported on squat brass feet with a crisply carved ebony column base. The poles are of plated steel with brass mounts to top and bottom. Beautiful papier mâché panels decorated in a chinoiserie style depict a European view of Oriental life.
Some minor damage in places however this is minimal for their age and does not detract from a very decorative pair of screens.
