Description

This is a superb Antique Regency period Decanter Tantalus Box with a Burr Walnut veneered surface and an ebonised edging, with 4 Decanters and 8 Liqueur Glasses. There is space for a further 8 liqueur glasses.

To the lid of the box to the outside is a beautiful silver and mother of pearl inlay with the same inlay design to the front of brass and mother of pearl. Please note there’s no key to the lock.

All decanters and glasses are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. All stoppers to the decanters are present and are also in very good condition.

The box itself is in good condition but does exhibit some age-related wear which includes some light marks to the surface, mainly to the edges and some old woodworm to the rear and a little to the side so is reflected in the selling price. The lid lifts up as it should and the doors to each side swing open so all hinges are in good condition. Overall it measures approximately 33cm wide, 25cm high and 24.5cm deep.
