19thC Cotton Reel Holder with Pin Cushion

Description
A very good, mid-Victorian cotton reel holder, complete with a pin cushion. This lovely piece works as it was intended and is wholly original, as made. The steel pins, capped with turned bone, are all there, and it stands well, as you can see. It rotates well, so as well as being beautiful it's practical too. It comes with the selection of cotton reels as shown and which have been added over the years since it was made, in around 1860 or so.Condition is generally very good and the only thing I should mention is that the pin cushion has some wear, which I have shown in the photos, and the pad inside, although still usable, has gone a little hard over time.
