A beautifully decorative early/mid-20th-century Lines Brothers rocking horse, measuring about 44" x 38½" high, in fabulous condition. It remains mounted on its original safety stand, with its L Bros stamped rockers and a Lines Brothers tag to the frame. It is finished in hand-painted dapple-grey, with real horsehair mane and tail, and retains its original and very traditional red leather saddle and tackThis finely crafted English rocking horse brings nostalgic charm and timeless style to any interior, making a striking feature for a country house hallway, nursery, or any provides enduring appeal in any decorative setting

Lines Bros, and the original company of G J Lines are well known names. The three brothers were creators of the Tri-Ang brand, standing, as it does, for a triangle. Lines ceased making wooden rocking horses in about 1950
