This is a stunning Georgian fob. Although unmarked, it tests as higher than 15ct Gold, so may be 18ct or even as high as 22ct.
It is such a simple elegant design, so unfussy, and so beautifully proportioned. It just exudes style. The petal-like fluting falls from the decorative suspension loop to a reeded frame holding a lovely smooth (blank) bloodstone, ready to be later engraved if you so choose.
Dating from c.1820, it would once have been worn on a gentleman’s pocket watch or Albert chain. Now a popular collector’s item, this antique watch fob makes a charming pendant or desk accessory.
