The chest has a total of 80 drawers , 40 down each side
It looks as though the cabinet is made from pitch pine
It was obviously made for commercial/industrial storage of smallish items
Would make an awesome collectors chest for perhaps stamps , coins any small item
The cabinet and drawers although rustic in looks have been extremely well made and the whole thing is firm and solid.
The drawers have solid wood sides and fronts and again are very strong and they run well
DateLate Victorian : Victorian to early 20th century DimensionsThe maximum measurements are 27 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 54 inches high Each drawer measures internaly 11"w x 17.5" d x .3/4" h... 1" at the front ConditionThe cabinet is in good structural condition with no signs of woodworm or serious damage ,and could be used immediately. The chest has been well used for a long period has some cosmetic blemishes and does show some signs of previous use.
