Description

This is a fabulous, solid mahogany very large extending dining room or boardroom table, being 5ft wide and just under 16ft long which would seat 20 people comfortably. It has seven leaves and a double winding mechanism (so that the table is wound out at either end), with two supporting legs in the centre. The legs are turned and reeded with exceptional quality new brass castors allowing the table to move freely as it is wound and unwound, and the table top has canted corners. The table top has been refinished with a durable modern lacquer which is hard wearing, tough and easy to clean, but allowing the original colour to shine through. It is a substantial table made in the 1920s to an excellent standard. Although it is extremely heavy being solid mahogany, the whole breaks down so that it is easy to move about, the legs even unscrewing for easy transportation.
