This is a very interesting writing slope, being hand made with ornate carving. The hinged lid lifts exposing the spacious interior which could be used for storing writing materials or books. The outside bears the legend "Annie Decr 24 1893 From Yours Truly Lewis", making this a piece of living history and a talking point in any home.
