Fine and very solid Georgian Repousse Silver Tray, London 1761
Dating to early George III period, this charming tray is hallmarked for William & Robert Peaston (active 1756-1763), in London in 1761, and depicts a pastoral scene with a young couple, a dog and a horse in front of their cottage. All in great, crisp detail and amazing quality. Ca 1.3cm tall upturned edge.
The tray is very heavy - 146g,
Approx. measurements: 16cm x 11.5cm x 1.3cm.
Stunning piece of Georgian silver in excellent condition. No damage.
