Description

A good quality bookcase bureau with a rare makers stamp - Tudor and Burrey who were 19th century fine furniture makers in Shrewsbury. Made from mahogany with ebony and boxwood stringing and featuring a tambour top which opens to reveal a fitted interior and a reading/writing slope. Another sign of quality is the mahogany lined drawers one of which is fitted with a pencil slope and 2 ink bottles (later)
Dating to around 1820 this is a nice sized piece of furniture which comes with a working lock and key to the 2 front drawers and bookcase.

All items are checked by our restoration team and any work is sympathetically carried out. Therefore condition is excellent, commensurate with age and items are ready to go straight into the home for immediate use. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions or request additional pictures.
