Description

Victorian Figured Walnut Writing Box. The hinged lid having Mother of Pearl central plaque and conforming escutcheon to front. Ebony outline stringing to all corners. The interior having fold out writing surface with gilt embossed leather to the two hinged lids, one opening to plain interior the other opening to secret drawers with cover released through the inkwell slide above. The boxwood inkwells above flanking removable ebony pen tray. The inside of lid with shaped 2 division letter holders having open frett decoration to front with material backing.
