Late 19C Mahogany Inlaid 3 Part Kneehole Desk by Maples. The leather lined top having a kingwood And boxwood strung banded surround and a moulded edge. The 9 mahogany lined drawers having the same banding and brass ring handles. All with Hobbs & Co. London locks the middle drawer stamped Maples & Co. Ltd. The frieze drawers flanked by framed X boxwood stringing and the pedestal drawers flanked by oblong stringing. The sides of top and pedestals having conforming bandings. Plain polished back. Both pedestals on shaped bracket feet with moulded top edges and having hidden castors.
