Silver & Mother of Pearl, Late Victorian Fruit Knife.
Hallmarked for Birmingham 1884 - date letter - k
The maker`s mark - TM, for Thomas Marples, Arundel Street,
Sheffield.
A plain, medium sized knife that has had some use, but is still in relatively good condition.
Undecorated, but has a vacant rectangular cartouche.
Opens and closes OK, was stiff but is improving.
Doesn`t shut quite fully - see picture 6.

Open length:- 123 millimetres.
Closed length:- 75 mms.
Weight:- 18.9 grams
