Description

A delightful vinaigrette by a maker I have never seen before. I have had 100s of vinaigrettes during 45 years of trading, and this is a first. Maker`s mark - TP for Thomas Parker,who appears to have only been working for a very short while, in the 1820s.
Hallmarked for Birmingham 1822.

A medium sized vinaigrette, stepped top an bottom, with engine turned decoration, divided with a wide raised floral band.
Beautifully gilded on the inside.
A full set of hallmarks divided between the lid and base.
A beautiful, pierced and engraved grill, decorated with foliage around a central flower. The underside is stamped with a lion.

Superb condition - no faults

Measures:- 35 x 24 x 10 millimetres.
1.38 x 0.94 x 0.39 inches.
Weight:- 16.4 grams / 0.53 ounces.
