Description

Watercolour “Woman and Her Maid in a Courtyard” in the Manner of Pieter de Hooch,

This charming watercolour is presented in a 4” wide gilt frame, on the back of the painting there is a label (inscribed 1665, damaged but most of it can be read)
Pieter de Hooch’s paintings are some of the most evocative examples of the genre.
We seem to be looking at a scene just outside a kitchen, the maid has brought a fish out of the cooking pot
The painting is 70cmx 90cm and looks it very good condition, the frame is also in good condition though with some repairs
Overall 36”x 33”x 4”
