Set of 18th Century Sicilian Apothecary’s Jars

Incredibly rare and important find, these large Jars date from around the late 1700s, all have lids and they would have originated from either a Convent or Monastery. The Jars have been turned in wood, they are in their original paint, both inside and out, the names on the jars represent the contents of each.

The jars are in remarkably good condition considering their age, they are sound, the paint work has chipping and it is faded
