Magnificent Art Nouveau Silver and Risqué Nude Enamel Cigarette or Card Case by Padgett & Braham Ltd

This is an exceptional Art Nouveau sterling silver cigarette, it has a rectangular shape with crisp corners, decorated with a key pattern etched into the border

The Charming young lady illustrated in enamel is posing like Botticelli’s Venus, on a balustrade set on pink satin with a brilliant blue sun lit sea in the background, she has long flowing locks of ginger in the Pre-Raphaelite style

This is a stunning piece of 20th century workmanship, fully hallmarked with silver gilt interior and a machine turned back, made by Padgett & Braham Ltd, it is in nice condition for a piece of this age with few minor dents and a little age related wear
A magnificent piece to draw out from your pocket, and if you are not a smoker it makes a wonderful card case, and an excellent conversation piece
