French Oak Refectory Table

Very Heavy French Solid Oak refectory table from Brittany
This is a very heavy table, the top has a 3” thick Oak plank top, the table top is a great looking piece, it has butterfly joints to prevent splitting of the wood, a very old but successful technique

The table is a typically French style known over there as a Monastery table, the table legs are made from 5” thick Oak, so as you can imagine this one is heavy and beautiful

The table has been fully cleaned and the old Dark finish has been cleaned down to a beautiful golden Oak Colour, it is sound and does not wobble, with a piece of this strength and quality it will stand up to no end of use
The table is 87” long, 31” wide, 31” high.
