A Superbly Carved French Oak Panel

This superbly carved panel was originally from a piece of French furniture, probably a Marriage Bed

Dancing and Music seem to be the jolly theme of the scene, there are dancing maidens with no shoes , musicians and the wine is flowing freely all set in a country scene with trees in the foreground and the village church in the background

This is a very well executed piece, the panel is in good condition with small brackets to hold it to the wall and the quality of the carving and the patina is superb
The panel is 30” high and 48” long
