An Antique Oak Coffer / Blanket Chest

Halifax / Bradford 1670


Measuring approximately 56" x 30" x 23" (width, height, depth)


A fine and very functional piece with good colour. The 3 front panels carved with lozenges, cross hatched tri-lobes and ears of wheat or arrow heads ?

The frieze with box and bog oak marquetry inlay. The lower rail with decorative spandrels.
