Description

A Fine 17th Century Chest of Drawers.


Measuring approximately 35.5" x 36" x 22" (width, height, depth)


Raised on bracket feet and consisting of 2 over 3 drawers, the fronts with alternating rectangular and patterned geometric molding and fine brass drop handles, escutcheons characteristic of the period.

The clean oak cased drawers retaining their original iron locks and a key.


Wonderful rich medium to dark oak patina throughout.


Condition report.


Once a split chest, later fixed as one. Different handles had been fitted in the past at some time re-placed by original handles or replacement of the period handles.

Some lifting to centre top planks and surface wear.
