Original 17th Century Map of Essex, devided into hundreds with the most antient & fayre towne Colchester described and other memorable monuments observed by John Speed, published in London circa 1676.

An original 17th century Copper Engraved Map in the original uncoloured condition, two sided frame with glass to rear and English text to reverse of map.

Map area without margins and frame measures approx 20 x 15 inches.

Frame size is approx is 23 x 19 inches.

Centre fold present as published one small hole to each side of margin, few minor creases or wrinkles [mostly to margins, see images], few small areas of minor age toning to paper ,some knocks to frame.

Overall a very good example of an uncommon early map.
