Description

Very impressive, Early Victorian, mahogany Dickens desk. The top section with a hinged writing slope enclosing small drawers and pigeon holes. To the side, two banks of four drawers, with locking side bars, connected by further compartments and a lovely row of turned spindles. The pedestals with further larger drawers including one double depth filing drawer. All the drawers of a good, hand-cut, dovetailed construction with mahogany linings, turned knob handles and working locks.
