Beautiful Victorian faded mahogany pedestal desk. The 9 drawers of a good hand cut dovetailed construction with oak and pine linings, the original turned knob handles and working locks. The top with hand carved mouldings, rounded corners and with a new full hide green leather writing surface. The back with panelled door effect. With the makers label 'J. Alderson, Cabinet Maker & Upholsterer, Bedford Terrace, Derby Road. Bedford' (?) Shown before restoration.
Size 50 x 30 x 29 inches tall, without castors, which could raise it by 4cm (126 x 76 x 74 cm tall)
